Founded in 2022, Where Hope Lives With Us, organization was started by a group of volunteers who recognized the need for a safe and supportive environment for youth experiencing homelessness in our city. We also help bridge the gap with youth and their incarcerated guardian.
At Where Hope Lives With Us, we believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of their circumstances. We are committed to being a welcoming and inclusive organization that serves the youth in our community with compassion and understanding.
We, at Where Hope Lives With Us, strive to support young individuals by providing transportation services to shelters and facilitating visits with their incarcerated guardians. Our goal is to bridge the gap and ultimately reduce youth incarceration rates. In addition to offering transportation assistance.
Audrey McAllister is a resilient individual from East Harlem NY, and a mother of two. raised by her grandparents after her and her sister Tondalia lost their mother at a young age. Her godfather became their support system, but he was tragically murdered.
Audrey faced challenges in her education journey, struggling to obtain her High School diploma. Nevertheless, she participated in the graduation ceremony with determination. She then pursued her education at Interboro Institute, where she earned her GED and Associates degree in paralegal studies in 2003. Undeterred by previous setbacks, Audrey continued her education journey at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in 2023. Audrey and her sister Tondalia founded “Where Hope Lives With Us Inc” in March of 2022, driven to give back and reduce mass youth incarceration. By being committed to the youth and the community from which they come from.
